The bottom line is it is not fun and you should take precautions whenever you can to avoid this this issue. Tick control starts by making sure that your legs and arms and various other parts of your body are covered when you are outside and in areas where ticks are highly concentrated. However, this is not practical a lot of the time, due to the fact that a majority of the time that people are camping or hiking it is warm outside and people do not want to be covered up. There are a ton of sprays and creams that you can put on open skin which will deter a tick from biting into you. This is not to say that they won’t jump onto your body as you walk by, but there is a very good chance that they are not going to bite you and if they do, they are definitely not going to like the taste.
